I keep wanting to pick out my favorite bits and then I keep finding more that are my new favorite bits. Although, "Only felons may kill the oafish audience members" and "Darnelle, did you have a burrito for lunch?" are current standouts.
In 1 they did not tell us what type of mute we were using. Are we supposed to use a straight mute, cup mute, wow wow mute, bucket mute or a felt bag! It would change the whole feel of the piece depending which we use! How am I supposed to play my trumpet if I don't know what they want.
Also where is the cow bell? I think the penguins might have taken it.
It's not even musically possible. You would have to find a way to put 4 half notes that don't overlap into one 4/4 measure, and you'd need to find a way to play them in that bar, but back in the last system and also in the next one.
Basically I just put the first two measures of this into finale... which wouldn't do this justice at all (especially since I don't know how to do instrumentation and scoring (That's what you get for being a vocalist) but it sounds like something that five 4 year olds would play on a piano... Except that the music was written down..
you can (sort of) listen to this composition: found a midi of "Faerie's Aire and Death Waltz."
http://10e.org/file/death.mid
it was on a japanese-language blog, titled "2ch news flash vip blog." the transcriber has ignored all text (including vaguely comprehensible tempo and volume notes, like "fffff") and input only the notes themselves. nonetheless, a valiant effort -- and yes, it sounds just the way you expect.
