I am told that there is a “new style” of “slam dancing”. I am further told that this resembles fake kung fu in place, the kind of thing you see street crazies doing, like shadow boxing.

1. Is this true?

2. If this is true, can someone please show me a picture of it happening?

3. Please direct me to the next place it is likely to happen, so that I can be there with a Supr-Soaker full of cat pee.

My friend Nathan told me about seeing a guy do that - this must have been in 1990. He just stood in the middle of the pit doing slow-motion punches, taking out anyone who interfered. That this has become a phenomenon of some kind is not a surprise to me.

Area Man Shot by Police

Area geek Ignatz Mouse was shot by Costa Mesa Police today outside Shooters Bar and Sports Grill. Mouse had displayed what appeared to be a firearm in a threatening manner, according to Lt. Bat Masterson. "The officers fired and struck the suspect, at which point it was discovered that the weapon was a plastic toy", said Lt. Masterson. "We are currently investigating the item which appeared to be filled with some type of animal urine."

Oh yeah, I think I remember seeing something much like this in that Sick of It All video (i think it was them) where they showed all the different kinds of hardcore dances. I like the one where they're not even doing punches, just stiff armed swings and super exaggerated hand claps.
