but the use of Z to indicate plural is so inelegant. S has served us well for so many centuries. I wonder what the linguistic anthropology of this change is based on (talk about an inelegant; that sentence qualifies!) And it's not because Z is easier to text. On a phone keypad both S and Z are at the end of a string of letters.

It's all I can do to use " u r" and 2 for too or to, and so on.
