Food note: Today I rediscovered the beauty of a whole fat fresh scallion sautéed just until the green changes.

Geek note: It takes all freakin' day to compile KDE.

Drink note: The Macallan 12 year is a beautiful thing and on sale for $38 at Hi-Time.

Car note: based on an observation in the Hi-Time parking lot, the Lotus Elise is a beautiful thing if and only if you do not get it in a loud lime green color.

Drink note redux: I introduced one half of kitchen_life to Hendrick's Gin with a slice of cucumber and some (sadly) flat tonic (because I am a spaz) and she is now a fan too.

PS - I of course want to know why I rule, because I'm a fucking narcisstic twit, but luckily I'm also tipsy, so I'm going to just pass this off as alcohol-induced rambloing. TYPING IS FUN it's so hard to not go back and fix those typos but if I don't it really emphasizews the tipsy part because we KNOW the sober me would never, never, never let typos happen on purpose oh my god hittin the post comment button now

Actually, the time stamp on LJ comments is set differently, but I don't know why and try to tell you why, I will have to make it up and my story will be wrong, causing someone to think I'm serious and correct me in a really humorless and pissanty way. I'm hoping to start this week in a better mood than the last two. At any rate, it was really 11:17 pm PST.
