It appears that the Los Alamos whistleblower who got his ass severely kicked was not the victim of his coworkers. Long story short he went to a nudie bar, got a lap dance, bumped into a pedestrian in his car leaving the joint, and got whomped really hard by pissed-off drunk assholes.

Not to say Los Alamos wasn't pleased to see him the hospital, though.

On the other hand, if they really want to silence a whistleblower, getting the cops in on it is a good move, right? You can never be too paranoid.

That news story changed remarkably in one day. The first day, the bouncer broke up a group of 4 or 5 men beating up the victim. The second day, there's an injured pedestrian and a road rage event. The reporter(s) certainly seem to be talking to completely different witnesses - or are they talking to anybody except the police? The Los Alamos lab is extremely powerful in New Mexico. I can't doubt for a minute that the local cops would turn facts around to suit the lab. Why should we believe any of this garbled stuff?

Yeah, it's going to be a conspiracy theory story no matter what just because Los Alamos WOULD do shit like that, even if they didn't.

I am appreciating the stories solely on a film noir level right now.

It was too crude for nuke boys. They'd have Silkwooded him.
