How do they go so far as to design, construct, test, and sell yarn without "discovering" that it is flammable??

It's like, "Oops, we forgot to run the one and only test that yarn-makers have to run."

As I understand it, all synthetic yarn is flammable. This is being recalled because it's
dangerously flammable (from the article).

Yeah, it's more a question of "does it melt fast enough to give the wearer permanent acrylic skin grafts?" Arguably worse than just burning, actually.
