It's been a while since I read the book of Maccabees

But I recall a lot of it was about the Romans shredding, roasting, dicing, stretching, and filleting various Jews for refusing to dishonor their God. It was pretty gross. Not sure why it’s a good name for a pizza snack.

coincidentally, i found myself stumbling upon some rather gruesome Bible passages today. an Oshoist has put up a page of "XXX-Rated" Bible verses. the presentation suggests the author/researcher presumably has a strong bias against the Bible and Christianity in general, no matter the stripe.
