Strange days indeed

So, thanksgiving. Went to the house of some old friends of the family, really nice people we've known since 19 diggity two. Good food, good conversation.

The party included:

• An astrophysicist
  
• A professional classical guitarist
  
• One member of an all-girl Iron Maiden tribute band
  
• A patent attorney and biologist who specializes in biotechnology intellectual property
  
• me
  
• my mom
  
• my mom's friend, the lady of the house
  

Not your typical face-stuffing with the relatives.

It is amazing how many times the Iron Maidens come up in my Life. A good friend of mine lives with the lead singer...
