I am now in possession of a 1 gigabyte I-stick, a cute little USB drive that’s about the size of two pennies. For $100 from digi4me.com.

Wow. 1 gigabyte. That’s, like, a lot. In a little space.

I've been seeing these little doo-dads around at places like Fry's and such. One thing kinda has me.. well, for lack of a better word, "curious"...

They are USB devices, but they have all these little extra pads on them. Why? Is there some really cool, nifty, or just plain gimmicky other use for these things (like, do they fit some standard memory scheme that's only used in Japan or something, or is there some $40 MP3 player that takes these) ?

Just curious.

I like my 128MB Swiss Army Knife USB toy.
