Someone needs to hand the OC Register a copy of the Associated Press style guide on referring to transfolk. They didn't mis-pronoun her at least, but if she's legally name-changed there's no reason to print her prior name other than to humiliate her publicly.

This is Orange County's print media version of Fox: the paper of record for loony rac^H^H^H anti-immigrant anti-school anti-tax "libertarians" who feel that the right-centrist LA Times is the definition of liberal media.

Tim Leary used to amuse himself towards the end of his days by writing outrageous right-wing screeds under pseudonyms that were just enough over the line that you tell it was parody; the OC Register always printed every word without comment.
