It's funny how the zeitgeist fixates on an early pioneer in a science and neglects any subsequent discoveries which shed new light on a field. It's always Darwin-Freud-Einstein even though the new stuff often means having to think differently.


My hunch is that people want to have one "responsible figure" to associate an idea with, but it could also be poor education or whatever. What are your opinions on it?
