Am I the only person alive who doesn't think he was a "genius of comedy!" etc? man, he was such a predictable bore. I mean, RIP and stuff, just like any human but SNORE.
I think he was funny and had a good stage presence, but I don't piss my pants over him the way a lot of people seem to. Of course, to me he will always be Rufus from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.
God bless him, it was after listening to one of his albums that I was inspired to use the word "shit" in front of my parents for the first time. I must have been 9 or 10 years old. They were not well pleased although they didn't give me a hard time since they were the ones playing his albums.
