That's awesome. I was worried that I would have to rush through the physics degree before intelligent design was made mandatory because some asshole conservative wanted it that way.

Well, I'm glad it's Chemerinsky, but I still don't want to give up my nice office. Bah, I say, to the Law School!

Because California desperately need a new law school. I'm surprised, I though they would be housed in a private stable on the Bren estate. You know, so Lord Donald could hand feed them and stroke them to ensure affection and loyalty. And of course, apply the WHIP!

They've somehow managed to beat the Chapman law school's launch, in which the first graduating class found out they weren't exactly accredited.

But yes. Law schools? More? Not needed.

the first law school from chapman knew quite well that they ran the risk of graduating before the accreditation was granted -- it was right in the admission publications they got. i didn't design them, but they came through my office.

failure to read the fine print is perhaps a sign that one's not cut out to be an attorney. or maybe one is.

Can't pull up the article, but I listened to this report on NPR- I think it was Thursday and they were interviewing the Chancellor (or whoever put a foot in the hiring process) and he said something to the effect of, "It isn't political, and besides, I'm on the same political side of the fence as he is". I really, really doubted it.

I heard about that today. I'm amazed that a spanking new law school managed to get Irwin Chemerinsky to be the Dean. But hey, if the Irv is going to have a law school, he's a pretty cool choice.
