I can't find a credit for this photo. Jamie got it from Crooks and Liars, but there's no link and no attribution on their site.

From a technical point of view, this shot is impressive. I suspect the photographer has worked the Senate for a while, because it looks like s/he's got a remote flash unit set up and the levels are nearly perfect.

From any other point of view, it effectively encapsulates everything one needs to understand about the decline of the American republic.
