Jim Gilchrist's idea of the road ahead is a lily-white suburban populist nightmare: the logical conclusion of the Reagan years. Watch out, everyone. California is the King's taster for nasty political movements.

Is he a minuteman? Because if he's not a minuteman and I was a minuteman, I'd get really pissed about that.

And he'd better wear the long coat and stockings, too.

His signs outnumber Campbell's on my work commute by at least 5-to-1.

Have you read Lisa McGirr's /Suburban Warriors/ yet? I'd be interested in what you think of it, having grown up there.

Look on the bright side. The more votes this A—HOLE gets, the better the chances he'll spoil the vote for Campbell by splitting the wingnuts. Is there really a chance he might win? Really? I'd be surprised.

This looks like the best chance you're going to get for a sane member of Congress from the 48th. You really ought to consider voting for Young. He might win if the right-wing vote is split between the GOP and the Constitution Party nutjobs.

Tactical voting. Think about it.

I actually see no way for anyone but Campbell to win this seat, but I'm just scared enough of Gilchrist. For me tactical voting is all about preventin Gilchrist. Steve Young is a real nice guy who will not be elected or even get much of a vote.
