Not only do we have secret illegal overseas prisons run by the CIA, but we've gone ahead and rung the irony gong as hard as we can by taking over at least one disused Soviet-era prison in Eastern Europe.

What do you make of the fact that no one commented on this one?

On other news items people will get outraged and ask "what will this lead to?" And here we are at what it has led to. Is there nothing more to say?

Thanks for the follow-up, which I just read.

I really don't know. I think most of the people I know who care about this stuff had already read that story somewhere else. I'm not sure what anyone would say, but I think that nothing can be done about any of the outrages my government is committing until the government is replaced. They don't compromise or back down, and if they say they've changed someone you have to assume they're lying.
