Issa NUCLEAR SPLOSION. The vertical lines are the ropes that held the scaffolding in place. The main reason the photo is interesting is that you can see the ropes catching fire, and it's because the light from the explosion has caused them to burn up before the heat or the blast can even get there. It's called the "rope trick".
