When I moved to Albuquerque in 1996, I was dumbfounded by how much it was like LA, in like 1982. Pup 'N' Taco! Galaga machines! Punk rockers!
It turned out that 1982 was the last time anyone in Albuquerque had any money. So the same stuff was all there, being charred by the UV and coated with dust.
Still, blow off the dust and it's mostly operable. (Except for the people.)
