Reading the Times I find that there is a center here locally for the study of the Shroud of Turin. And by “study” I mean obsessively cultish reverence.
Since I was 7 years old, that shroud has scared the crap out of me. I used to think I was going to hell because I was scared of a picture of Jesus. Also used to think 80% of the world was Catholic.
