People don't really realize how much power lays in an electric motor - instant power, instant, flat, torque. There's a group of electric dragsters, up here, that regularly go down and blow the doors off the dino-boys. Their biggest problem isn't lack of power, it's grenading axles, due to the instant torque. It's weird to see something go that fast, that quietly.
