Meanwhile my pal Pete ( trinnit ) who had BRAIN SURGERY two days ago is discharged from the hospital and typing at me with one hand from his hotel room. Some people are just built tough. Damn.

cat update

It appears she doesn't have cancer, but does have an obstruction that will necessitate removal of one kidney. This is a relief, since it may be that she'll just have a bad week and then be ok.
