Tag you're it.

Livejournal uses tags now, so you can tag an entry with things like: cats, politics, lolurinmybutt, etc.

I use tags on my delicious and on my flickr, not sure how much I'll use them here. I have set my account so that others can tag my entries, in case you feel like CATEGORIZING ME.

I don't get it. What the fuck are tags? Yes I am too lazy to read the FAQ. Feel quite free to ignore this.

if you look at del.icio.us it's easier to see

basically you flag things for indexing, so if you post about abortion protests at the supreme court you might use the tags:

law politics abortion

or if you post about your recipe for pounded rabbit liver the tags might be:

food meat recipe gross

etc

And the tagged posts are available... to all of El-Jay? Hmm. Not a bad idea.

Yay!

So I get to go back over all my entries and tag them!

Good thing I was sort of doing this with memories anyway.

Do you have a Mac client that supports tags, or are you doing it via the web client or after a post has been posted?

The new version of Xjournal supports tags.

Looking at the screenshots: HOLY CRAP, THAT BLOWS THE DOORS/GOATS OFF OF IJOURNAL!

It looks like it is time to switch.
