Apparently the most recent owners of the Knitting Factory club/record label aren’t the nicest people. Apparently, protesting and raising hell also worked to some extent to get them to be less assholish.

Yeah. I didn't know about this, but I did know that JZ opened his own venue so that neither he nor anyone he knew nor any of their fans would ever have to play the Knit again... I didn't realize their management change was THAT fucked up.
