Hoax, or Real?

A lot of media attention today on http://www.live-shot.com/ which purports to be a site that allows you to shoot a gun via the internet. Stinks of hoax from top to bottom to me. There’s no real contact info, the site’s domain is cloaked by a privacy service, and it’s just the perfect sort of troll that gets the news people interested.

However, we live in insane times. And it’s about America and guns. And it’s in Texas! What’s your call?

Edit: I fixed the stupid broken poll.

SURFACE TO AIR MISSILE

ya you got me there.
Seems like a waste of money.
Come to Morro Bay for a weekend getaway and shoot guns with me at the firing range about a block from my house.
shotgun, or hand.

I think it's a hoax, but part of me wants to believe it's real just to so I can say "what a dumbass!!!!" glad you found the link!

Sadly, I'm the one who actually thinks this is real. It would be wonderful if I were wrong, though.

Texas, the United State of Bush.

How does the gun move around? Via a scutter like in "Red Dwarf"?

Writing other players up in your report book is the best part!

technical details

given that in a hunting site they only use the phrase .22 caliber one has to assume a standard .22 short or long round not one of the more exotic like a hornet load or a .223. I for one have a very hard time believing that a .22 long will do much to harm a full grown male boar.

A website search of their address (found in the T&S agreement) turned up this link, which if you look under the heading "Bexar Unit 2" reveals the same address and the name Mike Lockwood. It also turned up this link, which gives the name John Lockwood next to the same address in the contact info section of the site.

As to whether or not you can remotely shoot a gun? ...Who knows.

Oh...and I may need a hobby.
