Surely you are referring to the ill-fated attempt (http://www.yesterdayland.com/popopedia/shows/saturday/sa1333.php) to update the Scooby-Doo formula to late 1970s Saturday morning cartoons?

N.B. this cartoon marked the first instance of the cute-female-computer-operator + field-investigators pairing on mainstream TV. At least 12 years before Max Headroom! Apparently everyone else who saw the show, like me, liked Dotty the best, even though it was never "safe" enough for her to accompany the team on fact-finding missions.
