dude beekeepers are elite. my parents' house is on a ton of land up in norcal. they have an apple orchard (gravensteins) and the neighbor down the way a bit keeps bees who come and fertilize the FUCK out of their orchard every year. i swear to god, those apples are better than any other apples in sonoma county. he has like four hives on his property and all the farmers all around worked it out so that at least one hive is at the exact optimal distance that bees hunt for food. also the farmer guys, i've never seen such big natural veggies. he had normal cucumbers (not english) longer than my arm when i was up there last summer.

Steve's former roommate is a beekeeper now. He loves it. We take Syd over to his house to visit the hive because she loves to watch them- plus we get free honey by the gallon.
