I don't remember the secret word for this episode
Christmas music made tolerable by the madness of Pee-Wee's Playhouse and a very special guest:

We are all Zyzzybalubah now.
in the Peewee's Playhouse complete box set
that I own, in my possession, of mine, here in my house!!
You know, film people fret and fret about "the transfer", i.e., how
well the thing ends up looking on DVD as opposed to its source format
of videotape (which sloooooowly degrades from day one, I believe) or,
more problematically, of film.
But I've never had occasion to notice a particular transfer as being
particularly good or bad either way.
But WOW, the transfer of this Playhouse stuff is so good that I
am almost tricked into thinking that it was filmed in HD video.
It's just... crisp. And the colors are especially
hallucinatory. In fact, I
have to wonder whether the actual airings of these shows,
back in the days, actually mangled some of the colors,
simply because NTSC color is such a nasty hack.
(NTSC
came from "National Television System Committee",
but is often expanded as "Never The Same Color".)
