It appears she doesn't have cancer, but does have an obstruction that will necessitate removal of one kidney. This is a relief, since it may be that she'll just have a bad week and then be ok.

For what it's worth, I've only ever had one kidney, and I seem to be doing ok. And I'm OLD.
